I once found my daughter in the bathroom. She had opened the cupboard door (under the sink), found the sudocrem and covered herself in it from head to toe. It made a real mess and taught me to get cupboard latches for all cupboards within her reach.
Last year my daughter, then just over a year and a half, tried to climb out of her pushchair and it tipped forward and she sustained a nasty cut to her top lip. We had to stay in hospital overnight and she had to go to theatre. We were in bits about it and it still upsets me to think about it. It shows you how quickly they can hurt themselves no matter how careful you are. Even though they hurt themselves, they don’t remember and keep doing things that give you more and more grey hair!
A few weeks ago my son decided it would be an amazing idea to pull the table cloth off the table which was covered in plastic cutlery. Sending the juice, salt and pepper everywhere with the plates and cutlery following. He then immediately ran into his bedroom turned it completely upside down everything out the draws, shoes everywhere, nappies everywhere, babywipes everywhere too. He also grabbed the Sudocrem, we can all guess what happened here.. he was absolutely covered head to toe in Sudocrem hand prints all over the walls and carpets! Running into me shouting uhoh mummy uhoh! I am still do this day finding hand prints in places that I just havent a clue how he got there! My little monster, but I wouldn’t change him for the world xxx
When my sister was a baby she got into the cupboard in the bathroom and covered herself in shampoo and conditioner, then thought it was a great idea to top it off with talcum powder!
We live in flats and i went to put the rubbish out not realising my 2 yr old son was behind me. The outside door slammed behind me leaving my son in the hallway alone. It was early so i had to run to the back door and bang on it for my partner (who was in bed) to let me in. By the time i got in my son was halfway up the stairs to the next flats! Dangerous as he’s not confident at coming down them. Scared the life out of me, and i only put the bin out when he’s in bed or with my partner now.
I turned round to make my son some milk the other week and hurd a bang only to find he had pulled his buggy ontop of him while he was haveing a play with toys near most probobly trying to pull himself up on it x
I turned away from my 17month old son for 2 seconds an he put a two pence piece dwn his brothers throat. His brother is only 5 weeks old. Poor baby lol never been so scared in my life. My sons always into everything so i need eyes on the back of my head.
Was just putting some food in the oven and something in the living room window had caught my eye, my then 18 month old had decided to climb on his toys and sit in our bay window, wanting to see the world go by!! He’s now 2 and is tall enough to look out now!!!
Because I can’t go anywhere without my 11 months old son, we were in the bathroom and I just turned my head for a second to wash my hands when my son lifted the toilet seat and let it go on his face and bang across the bridge of his nose. He is walking from 10 months old,and he is into everything !
I was changing my 7 month old daughter’s nappy on a changing mat (mat that rest on the top of the cot). Heard my son keep screaming for help and say his leg is trap. I quickly run toward him to release his leg from the radiator and the next moment, I heard a loud bang and cry. My daughter had fall of the changing unit! Not a good day for me! Should have grab my daughter down before recuse my son.
My 3 year old got stuck in pool table an had to call fire brigade out x
My 2 year old opens the living door and starts going up the stairs on his own and he tries to undo the child gate by unscrewing it from the door frame to get out of his bedroom!!! xx
My 15 month old rand 999 2 weeks ago I hadn’t realised he’d gotten hold of the phone until a policewoman turned up at my door at 8pm the phone had been on to them for 50 minutes :s! Monkey! He’s also now started to reach into our drawers in the kitchen and pull out cutlery!! Need eyes everywhere!
my little boy got into the kitchen and opened the fridge and pulled everything out and he and the floor was covered in yoghurts and sitting so proud looking like mr messy himself x
we had left the gate open and my son he’s 2 came down the stairs squeezed my nipple cream everywhere (ive just had a baby and i am breastfeeding) drawn over my letters than needed posting and helped himself to the treats i keep in the baby bag for when we are out, lucky nothing to serious
Only yesterday I turned my back for two minutes to write a thank you letter as I have just had my second baby and have lots to write. My toddler came in to see me with her toenails (and most of her toes) completely painted! She managed to unscrew the bottle, apply the colour and somehow not get any on the carpet in the time my back was turned. The colour was dark blue and I struggled to remove it from her toes even with nail polish remover! Wish she had at least used a base coat first!
My 2 year old has learnt to open sercurity gate and made her way down the stairs of our flat with her back pack when I brought her back up. Her bag was full wiith toys my purse and car keys lol
my 5 month old is now crawling, and climbing onto everything he can!! he looks like a little caterpillar!!! if he see’s any thing to do with technology he’s there within secnds!!!!!! bit scary that he’s also trying to walk too!!!!!!
My 1year old will use any thing to climb. Now she can climb on sofa and climb into high chair herself. We have now learned our lesson and moved high chair from end of sofa. I’m a childminder too and none of my minded kids are as bad as her. X
my 9 month old little girl got hold of my make up bag and emptied the lot and tried eating my foundation
just ticked of some areas of my three year old s rewards chart bluetacked to the wall and said well done with high fives for being such a good boy. placed the pen back into the bluetack to keep in place and popped into the kitchen to put the oven on. i walk back into the living room and find him drawing on the cream walls with the thick black marker pen! i then look at him and say HARRY!! and see not only has he drawn all over the cream walls but his hands, belly, arms and face…. oh dear lol
As I live up 2 flights of stairs I close my 20 month old son in the lounge and lock the front door while I take the buggy and his bag down stairs, I came back to my front door last week to findout that he had escaped out of the lounge and had pushed the latch down on my front door so my keys wouldn’t let me in! I had to call 999 to get the fire brigade to climb thru my window and let me in!
Where to start! There was the time i lost my child in a supermarket………. Or the time they found a tester pot of lime green paint, and literally covered every wall/door/radiator upstairs with it! Its still there now!! Cant get it off! Ive forgotten to remove my razors from the bathroom once, my son sliced through his chin! He wasnt bothered by it at all, but blood was everywhere!! Ive been locked out of the house a handful of times by my daughter. And on a daily basis my three darling children have a habit of emptying the food cupboards, if its not edible, they just empty it all out instead! Gotta love them! xx
I turned away from my son for a minute to grab my daughters bottle to find him trying to squeeze himself through the cat flap!! After managing to free him I then found my daughter had crawled into the hallway & was trying to sit on our Dalmatian like a horse. Needless to say a baby gate that closes itself behind you was immediately fitted to the living room to prevent anymore incidents.
My 10 month old loves going into the hall way & having a babble on the house phone Lol Another faveourite is venturing into the kitchen & emptying our washing basket & recycling bag! She’s just discovering the stairs too.. Upto now, she’s had no interest in them! Time to put a gate up soon! Lol
my 22 month old daughter is into everything! i have a lock on the inside of my bathroom door and she goes in there and locks herself in to cover herself in anything she can get her hands on. she also has a thing for trying to be helpful and cleaning the toilet with the toilet brush! this is her favourite thing to do atm. took the rubbish out a few weeks ago and came back in to find my daughter had opened the safety gate and followed me down the stairs without me realising and had to rush her up to a&e as she had missed a step and fell half way down the stairs
frightened the life out of me!
My 18 month old daughter found her way into kitchen cupboard while I turned my back to wash some dishes. I turned to find her happily sitting dipping her fingers in my tub of curry powder then eating it!
both my eldest through their toddler years have used sudocrem for decorating themselves and their beds with!! The other main trick is to empty every single wet wipe from the packet xxx
I had turned cbeebies on for my 19 month old son to watch, then went to start washing up, I went back in front room to check on him, and he had smothered his face with sudocream, I managed to clean him up and put the sudocream on a shelf, went to finish washing up, when I went back in front room he had managed to get the sudocream again and this time it was twice as thick all over his face, hair, my sofas and cushions even on the carpet, it tokk 3 baths and 5 hair washes to get it out of his hair! He had used a whole tub of sudocream in less than half an hour!
My 18 month old daughter came thru into the kitchen while i was washing up and opened the cupboard that contains my dogs food, she decided to empty the whole bag of food into my dogs bowl. I picked her up and put her back into the other room nut my dogs had eaten 90% of the food and 1 of them ended up being sick!!
I have a 23 month old son, i went into the kitchen for someting and when i came back caught my boy jumping off the sofa on to the tray of his high chair and then squeezing himself into his seat!
my son is alway getting into touble now we put the stairt get up and also we put the fire grand up and then one middle we knew the fire fall down and just miss him but jack alway trying to get the gate they are open also went up to fire before we put fire grand up nearly pick up a coal i couldnt believe alway before we put the stair on jack was playing with keys and he is crawling now but he went quiet and start to climb the stairs we didnt know till daddy spot him gates went up the staris that night we put the safety gates on
My 7 month old son is always up to no good, I went into the kitchen for one minute, came back into the lounge to find he had removed the imitation coal from our electric fireplace and attempted to eat it! For some reason to make it more authentic I presume it is covered in imitation coal dust, he was covered in it, looked like he’d been down the mines!
usually find my little one either in the kitchen removing all the food from the freezer or pulling the washing out of the wash basket or in the bathroom washing herself in the loo or eating the loo paper. not good
my 19 month old neice is forever opening cupboard doors and catching her fingers in them(OUCH),she also likes to be out of her pushchair now but doesn’t like to have reins on,so i’m sure my sister would love these great gifts.
i caught my daughter trying to crawl towards the front door wile it was open and nearly fell of the step. also try to open the kitchen cubourds
my daughter who was 6 at the time had taken my new born out of the cot (downstairs )and taken her upstairs and tryed to change her bum she had stripped her off and used every wet wipe in the packet put on sudcrem then talc put on a nappy inside out and put her in the cot upstairs their was cream and talc everywear and a white child stood in the hall way who then said ” i didnt do it ” lol teaches me for putting out the washing
My lo has been crawling for two weeks one and he’s passed with the fire place not only did i find him eating coal the other day
it also a great place to drop your toys to see how Much noise they can make when dropped onto the marble harth lol
Whdn i was hoovering the halway once i let my daughter play in her room as i had sorted it all out so it was perfect for her to play in. well so i thought. turned my back for two mins and she had pulled every drawer out her chest of drawers which made the weight to heavy and the whole thing fell down luckily she moved out the way quick enough or it would of been on top of her :-/. so now waiting for partner to put wall brackets on the back so its safe which will probably take him months to do like everything else lol. also caught her with the computer mouse lead round her neck, panic mother alert. you cant turn ur back for two mins with them.
My daughter is always getting up to no good as soon as I turn my back for a second she chucks clothes and toys down the toilet and one day in my kitchen she got hold of a Bottle of soy sauce and tipped it all out and tipped all of the cats biscuits everywhere on the kitchen floor.
My husband left a board game in the living room with our son jake (7months) while he made his milk, thinking he couldn’t get the lid off, he didn’t, when he came back in the living room jake had pushed the box up to the setee and was stood on top of it trying to climb on the setee- luckily he isn’t quite tall enough yet!
My 14 month old daughter loves putting things in the bin, including the car keys. Not much fun rooting through the rubbish before you leave the house in the morning! Also, my in-laws have a dog flap which she has recently discovered how to use to her advantage!
I have four little girls the youngest two are 4 yrs old and 8 months , my 4 year old has climbed on to window ledges opend windows and tried to climb out of the top bedroom qindow. , a neighbour knocked to imform me of this , my 8 month old has started to crawl is now slowly making her way up the stairs it dosnt help when the 4yr old will carry her up them and leace her sitting on the top ! I am waiting for a trip to A&E very soon. Even strapping her in a pram dosnt help as her sisters think she’s a doll and constantly pics her up . Having 4 lil girls is hard I have only 1 pair of eyes and I cnt split my self in four x
I was making dinner in the kitchen one day and I heard a big bang I ran n found my son had kicked his stair gate of the bathroom door and found his sittin in the toilet bowl playing with his boat he was only 15 months at the time !! Such a wee monster lol
My Sons been crawling for 2 weeks now and u can’t leave him for a second he’s always getting in the kitchen and trying to open the cupboard doors and emptying the dogs food and water bowls out I’m a single mum on a low income NAND all this would helP me out a lot I could go to the toilet with our taking him with me thanks gone reading
My little girl always finds things she shouldn’t play with cream all over the floor wipes every. Pulls things out the bin rank! Shes 20 months now. She also likes to go up the stirs to our bedroom and gets everything out the drawers lol. We already have 3 baby gates up around the place but still needs more we have a weird set out in our flat.
Last week I was visiting my parents with my 2 yr old Son. My son managed to lock my Mum in the kitchen while we were all busy talking in the lounge! Needless to say, she now doesn’t keep the key permanently in the kitchen door lock…
Myson has been able to open the patio doors for the last month and is now climbing off my bed, opening the kitchen cupbords and freezer, climbing the starir!! He is olny just 1!!!!!
I left the front room to make a drink then heard my 20 month old talking about going on the slide. On returning to the front room I found her on top of the sofa with my laptop set up leaning on the arm.She had made her own ‘slide’ – Eeeek!!!! So glad I caught her before she tried it out!
I was in the kitchen making breakfast and my daughter found my hand bag, took my makeup bag out opened it then screwed the lids off 4 of my Barry M glitter pots and tipped them all over my brand new black carpet
I was in the kitchen making a bottle for my daughter who had just started to crawl, and when I went back into the living room I coundlt find her. I called her name, and heard her giggle, to find her half way up the stairs! the first time she had ever been near the stairs, and she conquered them straight off! She did continue to climb them, with my supervision, and made it to the top, but now we have some pretty sturdy stairgates in place!!
My son is an escape artist and likes to scare me half to death. He now climbs up onto his window ledge, how you may ask wekk he manages to climb up a radiator and use that to get up onto the window ledge. He is able to to unlock the child safety latch and therefore have had to bolt the outside of the window so he can never open it! He also enjoys climbing up onto his wardrobe after getting up onto the window ledge and throwing the dvd’s everywhere! He’ll then jump over his stairgate in his room, go into mummys devour a box of celebrations, pour my perfume all over the floor and fill the dvd player with body lotion! He’ll then look at me with lipstick all over his face and a cheeky grin and I don’t know what to do but cuddle him tight!
My husband and I were taking a bit of time to read as our 8 month old daughter was playing nicely in her ball pit/ toy area. The lack of noise should have alerted us really. We looked up to check on her and found her standing in the middle of our coffee table looking quite pleased with herself! Presumably she’d used the footstool to climb up and then crawled to the middle before standing! We’ve also found her trying to and (as we later found out) somewhat succeeding in unscrewing the stair gate we have on our living room door! She’s terribly good at moving, climbing and figuring things out for her age!
My little girl is 10 months ans she (on several occassions) has now pulled the doorstop out and sat behind the door so I can’t get in. But my favourite will always be when she pulls the playstation, digi box and wii out from under the tv and presses all the buttons she can find… pulls all the cables out so I need to reset all the boxes and then cries because she cant watch her tv programs
2 mins before our health visitor i found my 18 month old head to toe in talcom powder and baby wipes was less than impressed let me tell you!! Managed to get a pic though so i can show him when he 18 lol revenge is sweet xxx
Was washing up went in to living room and my 2 year old did a poo and she took her nappy off wiped it in carpets and walls then came in to me and went I did it I did a poo took it weeks of washing my carpet to get it out was not impressed as was new carpet
Well my daughter who is 13 months’ new trick is climbing the stairs at lightening speed I had just finished telling my husband this last week when he turned around and asked where she was of course my reply was on the stairs he then looked up and he she is standing at the top with her arms in the air like rocky!! (little monkey!!) my husband got such a fright his reaction was so funny! X
This is gross but My little boy had manage to rip his nappy off which he had pooped in and smear it everywhere, all over him the tv the tv unit the coffee table sofas you name it it was smoothed all I cud do was pick him up put him in the shower with his clothes that he had on and shower him down. Changed him and put him in his play pen by this point it was smelling bad. Lol
I went into the kitchen for 2mins by the time i had gone back through my little boy had pushed his toybox over so he can stand on it, pulled the drawer open and found the sudocream, wiped it all over himself and my tv x
my 2 yr old boy has literally just poured radiator paint all over my kitchen floor as i read this post! thankfully it washes off with water
I was sorting the cothes out from my tumble dryer and folding them up when i turned around to close the door my little girl had climbed into it and was sitting in it playing with the ball that goes in the tumble dryer. We also just recently moved house and we have intergrated fridge, my little girl now likes to open the fridge and sit in it at the bootom and shuts the door too eating the cheese.
My little boy crawled all the way up the stairs and into his bedroom. I panicked like mad when i could find him down stairs when i went up stairs he was happily playing with his toys.
I told my son we were going to get his jacket and shoes on; the phone rang turned round to find my son pulling his jacket from on the shoe rack and bringing the full 5 foot shoe rack down on himself…. he wasn’t hurt but I have never moved so fast in my life.
My 2 year old little miss emptied a whole, yes WHOLE box of rice crispies on the floor. in front on her toy dog saying biscuits!! I looked in the kitchen, WHAT A MESS!!
With 4 children there’s too many to name but think the worst was when my eldest daughter aged 23 months sprayed bleach cleaner in her face and had to be rushed to hospital by ambulance.
I was in the kitchen making My daughters lunch.. 18 months.. came into the dining area, called her name. she didnt answer. I couldn’t find her? Looked all round the flat, and she was hiding from me! found her giggling under the table..
Well… my daughter hasnt gotten into anything yet but she is going to be crawling soon and we have done nothing to baby proof the house!!!! We need help soon!
My son sneakily hid some raisins under the cushions by pinching them out of my changing bag when he was only 1. I found him later that day, retrieve his snack and eat it! Cheeky fella! x
I have 18month old twins, where my daughter is the laid back one and is happy just to sit and play my son is now in the habit of climbing onto everything, the other day i turned my back to talk to my daughter and just turned round on time to find he was holding onto the side of the flat screen tv to climb onto the tv unit< i had to dive to stop the tv from tipping forward and to catch him before he fell thankfully he was no hurt, he can get upto so much mischief x
my son who has downs syndrome is a nightmare at the moment into everything hes broke 2 sets of draws had to get catches worked the safety gate out found out he can get up stairs had to but a new tv unit cause hes decided the other 1 was to low and he can push the tv over at the moment i need eyes in the back of my head into so much mischief x
my little boy is 14 months old we live in a town house hes constantly at ta stairs,in the fridge and i turned my back for 2 secs and there he was at the cupboard pullin all ta dishes on to the floor…def need eyes on the back of ur head in my house..
Our daughter is a bum shuffler,, she started when she was eleven months and she is now around fifteen months. We have a cat and we used to have our cats dishes downstairs in the corner of the living room. We never thought anything of this until I went into the kitchen to tidy round and my partner went out to tidy the yard and five minutes later yes you have guessed it,, she was covered in water and the cat food was everywhere!! thankfully she hadnt tried to eat the cat food,, needless to say from then on the cats food bowl and water bowl are now out of reach until shes on her feet!! trisha
I have 3 children aged 4,2,1 whilst i was busy washing up in th kitchen with the children playing in the toy room i went to check on them to find my 2 year old had learnt how to open the baby gate and had gone upstairs with a toy cup and decided to cover all the beds upstairs in water!!!!! Now i have to put a tie on the gate to stop him opening it little terror haha
My kids (aged 4 and 2 at the time, put our 2 new kittens in the Tumble dryer (as it was warm). It wasn’t until i heard an ‘unfamiliar bumping sound’ that i realsed something was wrong! When i stopped the dryer… I TOOK OUT 2 VERY SHAKEN… AND ‘DIZZY’ … KITTENS’ I panicked they would need Vet treatment (costing loads) … but luckily… they just needed fusss…mwe still have them now… Lovely Cats!
A couple of days ago my little boy was playing in the kitchen while I was clearing the dishes. I turned found to check him and he had taken his nappy off and was crouching to have a poo! Next minute it shot out everywhere! I then ran back towards my sink to grab some kitchen roll so he wouldn’t stand in it, however he then decided to leg it! He slid right through it like a penguin then as he reached my hall stood up and continued to run over my cream carpets and wipe against my white walls! When I picked him up he looked as if he had been dunked in chocolate so I carried him upstairs to the bathroom to wash it all off me and him! I then took him straight up to bed and come down it must of took me 3 hours to clean up! It was everywhere and it took ages to get the smell out! But even after all that I wouldn’t change my little man 4 the world!
My 16month daughter has been in the nappy cream, my jewelery box, stands in the bathroom sink, and stands on tables, she can’t talk much but by golly she can climb!! and fast!!
My 8 yr old niece forgot to lock the door in the caravan and my 20 month old ended up opening the door and falling head first doen the steps. Many tears. Amazing how quick they heal tho, the little monkeys!
I once found my daughter eating a bag of shopping she stole out of my shopping bags. One good thing was, she was sharing with the pup!!!! X
Dexter got hold of my mobile phone, threw it up in the air and it landed on his forehead. I literally cried myself to sleep that night as it was the first time I’ve seen him bleed. He’s also rolled off the sofa and landed IN a paper bag before. Scary stuff – you turn your back for one second!
I once had a panic attack after finding my daughter with one of those silicia gel sachets! I thought I had got them all out of her new shoes but no there she should withan open scahet! Fortunately after a frantic call to NHS direct I discovered they are actually harmless phew!
Hi Helen, congratulations! You have just been drawn at random as a runner up in our competition! We will be in touch via email with all the details.

I left my LO in the living room for a second while I went to the kitchen check on lunch. When I returned (literally less than a minute afterwards) he had stuck his head up in the fireplace! One curious monkey! It took me 10 minutes to get him out of there without hurting him.

I had just changed my little girl and had gone to the bin to dispose of the nappie in the bin and wash my hands, when i come back my older son had picked up the sudo cream and was drawing on the tv with it .Ii never did get it all off,but i learnt never to leave it within his reach again.
yesterday my daughter stole a lipstick (it was bright purple)from my sisters room (staying at my mums) and decided to decorate my mums newly decorated hallway with it….there was lipstick all over the carpet (creamy colour),the walls, her face etc….i had only gone to the toilet but we had fun tryna scrub it off everywhere the more we scrubbed the more it spread :-/ i ended up finding it hilarious afterwards but did think i was going to have to replace my mums new carpet :-/ x
My 2 year old twin nephews were visiting and their mom was in the kitchen making drinks. One of them tripped and bumped his head, turning my back on number two, to go and tend to his brother he managed to open the lounge door and was halfway up the stairs on my stairlift before we knew he had gone. He had watched me on my “chair car” , saw how it worked and wanted a go too. Thankfully he was ok but it’s hard work with two lol
At my daughters daycare they have “double decker” cots with slide garage door type sides. My baby girl was in the top one. The intern opened the door then turned to another child who was making a fuss and in that moment my daughter turned and fell out onto the floor from about 4 feet high. Thankfully she was fine (she was a stocky baby and seemingly bounced) but I made sure the intern wasnt allowed to work with babies under 2 at the daycare any more
My little boy puts everything he can find into his mouth so one day i tuurned my back ( to clean the ready brek off my face and found him ripping up the Argos book into shreds and storing it in his mouth like a hamster! he had opened a drawer and pulled it out!!! His gums and tongue were a little colourful to say the least but no harm was done! I cant blink when hes around but i couldnt live without him!
Ohhh btw hes ten months lol
Wow…my daughter is only 14 months old and she’s made me want to grow 50 extra pairs of eyes!
A recent incident was when she was in her baby walker playing and I had gone to the kitchen to wash up, when I had returned she had vanished! I panicked and looked everywhere and could not find her in the whole house. I heard a little sound coming from the front room and saw a shadow behind the drawn curtains….I opened it and she was there laughing with white chocolate buttons in her mouth and hand…and in her other hand was my mobile phone which was completely white with chocolate. She needs a few safety gates to be honest!
With 4 children and the smallestt being a toddler you need eyes in the back of your head at times! I remember very well coming back into the room to find my Son posting my credit cards down between the floor boards in the front room. One hammer and a few floorboards lifted to get those back! @Bobbity666
my little one is 13 months old and she decided to climb up onto her push chair and try to make it rock lucky I heard her go quite so I knew she was up to something
i forgot to shut the kitchen door realised my little boy was quiet i found him sat on the kitchen work top eating sweets that had been left there
My little brother very nearly set the house on fire, not intentionally of course, but he put his blanket on top of an electric heater. Thankfully we all smelt the burning before anything bad happened.
He also when he was very young climbed up the stairs (he barely crawled at the time) but managed to get almost halfway up. Thankfully again we heard him but it just shows you how quick danger can occur.
My littlest sister (2) is currently climbing everywhere and keeps trying to escape out the door (yes she’s mastered the door handle). So another safety gate would be really useful.
Hi Naomi, congratulations! You have just been drawn at random as a runner up in our competition! We will be in touch via email with all the details.

I turned my back for one minute and my little boy had climbed up the banistar on the landing, so was basically hanging over the stairs smiling away!!
My 1and 2 year old always escape from the front room together so but one day my 2year son went out ans shut the door behind him so I went looking for him shouting him and every thing and found him asleep in the bath the I little blanket it. Was so cute but luckily they were not water in the bath so I took him and but him in bed xx
My little boy got into the kitchen and got hold of a marker pen and drew over everything from cupboard doors to the tv!! X
when my 1st son was 16 months i was upstairs giving him a bath ready to visit his grandparents as i was also 7 months pregnant with my second son i asked my husband if he could come in and dry him while i got dressed when he was done he told my son to go to mummy as i was i the bedroom i heard him go to the stairs but was to late to stop him going head first down the stairs the result put me into pre term labour i am now 8 1/2 months pregnant with baby number 5 and still terrified of stairs also my 4 yr old son got into my cupboard under the kitchen sink a few weeks back and emptied iodine all over my laminate floor.
my little one is just starting to get into everything found her trying to get up the stairs the other day time for all the safety things just so dear to buy this would really help us
My son managed to get into my bedroom drawers and thought it was much fun to stick my sanitary towels all over his face and body.
My daughter climbed to the top of the stairs (really fast) I JUST about got to her before she fell down them! X
For a time my son and i lived with my parents. My brother had left his bike in the hallway with his wallet perched on the seat. I had only popped into another room for a second and he managed to pull the bike down on top of himself as he attempted to reach the wallet. He badly cut his lip. I learnt to make sure there were stair gates on every doorway!
My cheeky monkey riley of 20 months 2day decided to carry a foot stool all the way to the front door, stand on it and open the door…. I woz only aving a piddle… Can’t take my eyes of him for a second
Over the last 3 years my little girl has got in to sooo much mischief when my back was turned, we’ve had ripped up books, crayon on walls, sudocrem on the curtains, escaping upstairs attempts, and her favourite squishing banana in her hands and rubbing it EVERYWHERE!!
Luckily we can laugh at all these things and there were no accidents, but it just goes to show that you only have to take your eyes off them for a few seconds and they can get up to all sorts, we still use a Lindam safety gate now, as I worry about her going upstairs alone, much to her annoyance, lol. I’m expecting another baby in November and will definately not be taking my eyes off this one for a second!
I had my son in his pushchair, I turned around and when I turned back he had undone the seatbelt and was half out of his pushchair!
I once found my son in his bedroom shaking the bottle of talcum powder shouting ‘look, it’s snowing!’, it took a couple of days to get it all cleaned up, his bedroom smelled lovely weeks afterwards
xxx
No accidents yet, as we worked hard to make our house safe
My son tipped my 42 inch flat screen television over off the tv unit. When I turned my back for a split second to the other side off the same room to get a nappy and wipes to change his bum.
we 1st discovered our little monkey could climb over her cot sides when we were sat in the living room only to see a little flash of our 1yr old dashing towards the stairs( our living room was upstairs rather steep stairs ) thankfully we caught her just in time before she got to the stairs ,we had just moved in so the baby gates hadn’t been put up yet as had been planning to do it in the morning needless to say my mr put them up strait away
My little man rolled from his back onto his tummy for the first time whilst I was in the kitchen and him being in living room, heard him screaming and crying so went in to him to find that he had rolled over and banged his head on the fire unit corner, had a red bump rest of the day and I felt like worst mom ever
I nipped into the kitchen yesterday and left my 19 week old little boy on his changing mat and came back in a minute later to find he had rolled over onto his tummy for the first time and my 7 year old golden retrieve was just watching him until I came in and she then barked until I turned him back over.
My little girl is just starting to move around the floor so I’m going to have to be extra careful and have eyes in the back of my head
If I turm my back my two year old is usually bashing his big (three year old) over the head with the plastic tools out of his tool or pushing his younger brother (eight months old) around in his walker at top speed and running peoples feet over
My little cruiser had reach up on to the work surface & grabbed the cats biscuits. He was just about to eat a handful when I caught him!!!
My youngest daughter Ellen (14months) is certainly keeping us on our toes as she has a perfect teacher, foil and partner in crime in her big sister Abigail (4yrs) … this week she has mastered the getting up and down steps. Despite our best efforts to ensure the door to the bottom of the stairs is kept shut, Abigail does forget to close it and my husband (full time dad) has caught her on 2 occasions at the top of he staircase smiling proudly, the second time with Abigail coaxing her to climb the final step into her bedroom.
The other problem is the downstairs bathroom specifically the toilet, Ellen is fascinated by it and loves to flush it OR if Abigail hasn’t put the seat down after use, investigate this ‘other’ bath… my husband was in there seconds after she had scuttled in after Abigail who was washing her hands after using it…the toilet seat was up and she was in there, got hold of the rim liquid cleaner and managed to detach it and douse herself in it…fortunately only covering her hands and clothes but resulting in an early bath and a safety lock on the seat – which causes a whole other set of issues for our 4 year old, but that’s another story :/
Hi Kirsty, congratulations! You have just been chosen as the competition winner! We have sent you an email with all the details!
As a first time mum I am fast learning that you need eyes in the back of your head! My son is always putting things in his mouth which he shouldn’t – he is too quick for me sometimes like yesterday when he grabbed the nappy bag (which had a wet nappy in it, all tied up) whilst I was putting the wipes back in the changing bag and he promptly started chewing on it!
My 8 month old did the usual of getting into the Sudocreme, but also managed to get into her Dad’s tube of Pringles when I turned my back for a second. Caught her munching on them and crushing them into the carpet. I’m surprised she liked tham as they were Salt and Vinegar!!!
My 15 month old decided to clean the bathroom floor with the loo brush yesterday, but today topped it off by climbing onto the toybox, standing up and trying to jump off!!! I suppose they have to learn somehow!!
My little girl who is 13 months got into my make-up bag when i turned my back next thing i knew she was sat on my bed putting make up all over her slef ,her bears and all over my white covers ! but i couldnt say much with her cute cheeky little face ! also turned my back for what i swear was 3 secounds and found her sat at the top of the stairs with a massive grin on her face !
my little girl 5 months has just started moving round and grabbing things ! i was changing her bum earlier i turned around for 2 seconds and she had the whole pack of wipes pulling them out throwing and chewing them ! my little monster

my son decided to feed my oven paper i dont know how he done it as the kichen has a safety gate and i shut the door he is just over 2 1/2 but was a few months youger when he done this also when he had learnt to crawl he decided to copy the puppy and kneel on the floor and lick water out of her bowl like she did.. the other day i caught him with his lil brothers bottle of milk and was sqeezing it on his head and rubbing the milk into his hair he make so much mischief in his short lived life so far its too much to mention will he ever get out of it lol he dosent do it when im looking but as soon as my back is turned even for a second
My 1 year old likes to get into cupboards. This evening while I was washing up in the kitchen I turned to find she had opened a bottle of soy sauce and was just about to taste it.
My 9 month old son has been pulling himself up on the setee for the last 2 weeks. Today out of the blue I found him nearly at the top of the stairs. Can’t take my eyes of him now. X
My little one was supposed to be with his dad and grandad but came walking to me with a saw! Thank god he was ok he was just looking for something to saw!
My son put a load of 1p and 2p coins into our printer, by sliding them into the bit where the paper goes. The coins are still stuck in there and make a jiggling noise every time we try and print something, but luckily it still works fine and was switched off at the time x
Make sure your childs cot is glued properly at the joints, as mine came away, baby got stuck and was seriously ill as a result. Two minues with superglue could have prevented the anguish we have gone through.
i had gone to the loo and in the 1 minute that took, my 3 year old had found the sun cream and covered himself and the cat in it in, telling me he was making sure the cat didn’t burn and he was being sun safe!!
My son was fiund trying to eat a slug one day in the garden i think it made me more sick than him lol
when my son was little he got his hand stuck in the vidio player whilst resucing him my daughter prometly found the sudo cream and smeared it all over her favourite teddy!
i found my little girl with a bumper box (six packs of 86) wipes the room was covered in wet wipes she had empitied every packet and was sitting there with a very very cheeky grin on her face thats taught me that i need to start putting safety latches on my cupboards!!
I went to the bathroom leaving my little one on my bedroom floor i came back in five minutes later and my walls and my little girl were covered in my new nail varnish ! she found it very funny so now mummy has a nice new feature wall drawing i thought it was a bit plain anyway hehe
My great grand-daughter come round to stay we put the cot up in my room that had just been decorated the day before she went to sleep as good as gold as usaul but when i went up half an hour later to find my new wallpaper and border all in her cot and all on the floor luckily she could only reach the length of her cot and she was stood holding the bars giggling our little terror.
